X-Analytics Actions Simulator: test decisions before you commit

VideosX-Analytics Actions Simulator: test decisions before you commit

Introduction

Slide any of your thirty-two X-Analytics Actions up or down and watch your exposure move, then share the simulation as a link that stays interactive.

Bob Vescio, Chief Innovation Officer of X-Analytics, walks through the X-Analytics Actions Simulator in the X-Analytics AI Toolbox.

What it does

The X-Analytics Actions Simulator is an AI agent in the X-Analytics AI Toolbox that lets you model how investing in or divesting from your controls would move your cyber exposure, before you commit to anything.

It works from the X-Analytics Actions, a set of thirty-two pragmatic actions that normalize every framework in your profile, whether CIS, NIST CSF, ISO, or CRI, into one tactical view.

The same actions feed the planner module, so a promising simulation can become a plan.

How it works

Start the simulator and it produces an interactive metric card: your profile, the date it was created, your current exposure, and the current implementation of your thirty-two actions, informed by the frameworks you have populated.

  • Move a slider up to simulate investing more in an action, or down to simulate divesting.
  • Watch the right-hand side update, showing how much your exposure changes and your simulated exposure next to your current exposure.
  • Weigh the tradeoff. Investing everywhere is not realistic, so the simulator lets you decide where to add and where to pull back.
  • Refresh the card whenever your world changes, as threats, macro conditions, and control data shift.

When a scenario looks right, convert it to an artifact and share it by link, set to expire when you choose.

The shared version stays interactive, so the person you send it to can run their own simulations and reset to your current implementation at any time.

What you walk away with

  • A live view of how each action moves your exposure.
  • A way to weigh investment and divestment decisions side by side.
  • A shareable simulation that stays interactive for whoever opens it.
  • A scenario you can carry into the planner module as a plan.

Frequently asked questions

What is the X-Analytics Actions Simulator?

It is an AI agent in the X-Analytics AI Toolbox that models how investing in or divesting from your controls would move your cyber exposure, using an interactive metric card you can share.

What are the X-Analytics Actions?

They are a set of thirty-two pragmatic, tactical actions that normalize the frameworks in your profile, such as CIS, NIST CSF, ISO, and CRI, into one view. The same actions feed the planner module.

Does the shared simulation stay interactive?

Yes. When you convert a simulation to an artifact and share the link, the recipient opens a live simulator, runs their own scenarios, and can reset to your current implementation at any time.
