Board Reporting: walk into the board meeting with the report already written

VideosBoard Reporting: walk into the board meeting with the report already written

Introduction

Produce a board-ready report on your cyber risk, edit it in your own words, and share it with your directors.

Bob Vescio, Chief Innovation Officer of X-Analytics, walks through an agent in the X-Analytics AI Toolbox: the Board Reporting agent.

What it does

The Board Reporting agent is an AI agent in the X-Analytics AI Toolbox that produces a board-ready report on your cyber risk, covering your exposure, how it is trending, your insurance position, AI risk, and the questions your directors should be asking.

The agent offers two options. Produce a Board Report builds the full document walked through below. Produce a Board Memo is available in the same agent when a memo suits the audience.

Find it in AI Tools. Type "board" and select Board Reporting.

How it works

  • Open AI Tools, type "board", and select Produce a Board Report.
  • Answer three questions: your organization name, your domain, and which exposure severities to show.
  • Choose the severity range that fits your audience: median only, median and high, median with high and worst case, or all four including low. Those map to the fiftieth, ninetieth, ninety-seventh, and tenth percentiles.
  • Receive the report, headed with your company name, the date prepared, and X-Analytics as the preparer.

The report covers:

  • An executive summary, a handful of sentences on your overall risk condition.
  • Your exposure breakout, sized to the severity range you chose.
  • Your residual cyber exposure over time, with the trend line showing month to month movement and the overall direction.
  • A cyber risk and insurance summary, weaving in your coverage when insurance is populated in your profile, so mitigation and risk transfer sit in one conversation.
  • Key takeaways specific to your organization.
  • A section on AI risk, with guidance to present when your business carries it.
  • Why it matters, and the questions the board should be asking.

From there:

  • Convert the report into a shareable artifact and open it full screen for a cleaner presentation format.
  • Edit any section with the pencil icon, adding a line of your own, then select Save changes before you send.
  • Save it to Vault, where a monthly or quarterly history of your board reports builds up.
  • Generate a link with the duration you choose, then copy it into email, Teams, or Slack for one person or several.

What you walk away with

  • A board-ready report on your cyber risk, headed, dated, and prepared for your directors.
  • The severity range you chose to present, from median alone through the full low to worst case span.
  • Mitigation and risk transfer in one conversation, when your insurance is in your profile.
  • Questions written for your board to ask, so the meeting produces decisions.
