What is Scheduler?
Scheduler is the X-Analytics capability for running agents automatically on a recurring basis. You set up a schedule once, and X-Analytics runs the agent from that point forward. It is one of the most requested capabilities from X-Analytics customers, and it is available in the app today. Scheduler shows the agents configured for scheduling in your profile, so the list you see is specific to your account.
How does Scheduler work?
- Open Scheduler. Type "Scheduler" in the prompt field to see what is already scheduled, or type / and select Scheduler to open the scheduling interface.
- Choose the agent. In the walkthrough, Threat Assessment is selected so the report generates at the start of every month.
- Set the frequency, day, and time. For example, monthly, on the fifth day of each month, at 7:00 AM.
- Set a first run date. Without one, the first run happens on the next matching date. Adding a start date lets you begin the schedule in a future month.
- Confirm the schedule. X-Analytics confirms it, in this case a monthly Threat Assessment.
- Manage it anytime. Go to AI Tools and select Scheduled to see everything on a schedule, edit any item, or open its details.

Two kinds of work fit Scheduler best. The first is profile updates: if you use the CrowdStrike agent, schedule it to update your cyber risk profile every month so your profile reflects your latest security data.
